IF ONLY HE COULD KEEP HIS HAIR,
He’d be quite happy anywhere.
He snaps, he sighs, he cannot bear
To part with old, loose doggie hair:
He cannot help but stop and stare—
His eyebrows telegraph despair.
Although his skin is far from bare,
He hates to lose a single hair:
He’d keep it all: he would not share:
He loves and loves and LOVES his hair!
While growling low through lips pulled thin,
He ponders gluing lost hair in:
He snatches hairballs from the floor,
And warns me I should take no more!
He’d be quite happy anywhere,
IF ONLY HE COULD KEEP HIS HAIR.
