Now leaving my old wilderness,
And casting off my wretchedness,
I put on grace and blessedness,
Infused by Jesus’ holiness,
Becoming whole what once was mess,
Called home to God through loneliness,
Yet, sinking through forgetfulness,
Then called out of my emptiness,
Arrested by God’s holiness:
God’s greatness I will oft confess,
Becoming someone He can bless,
Until at home with Him I rest.
