on my face:
of God’s grace
Raindrops falling all around
Until all our sorrows drown;
Rinsing off our stains and frowns,
Rain keeps falling down, down, down,
Filling gardens’ thirsty grounds,
Bringing dry things back to life.
Come on down, Sweet Friends of mine!
Come to help our farmers out!
Come to put big fires out!
Come while thunder rolls about!
Come to hear our joyful shouts:
“GOD HEARD OUR PRAYERS AND HELPED US OUT!”
Lightning flashes fill the skies.
Well-loved storms, do linger nigh!
Water fly! Water fly! Water fly
from kindly sky.

I wrote this to commemorate rain after a long, long drought.
Those of you who want to are welcome to pray for the families of the 19 firefighters who died fighting fires in Arizona.
Praying for God to bless you today,
